Crescent City, California is an incorporated city located in Del Norte County, California. Its name comes from the crescent-shaped sandy beach that is just south of the city. As of the 2010 and 2020 census, the population of the town was 6,673. There is a large number of schools in the city, as well. The average home price in Crescent is $170,000, and there are plenty of other attractions in Crescent City.

The city has an extensive history. It was founded in 1850, and it is one of the oldest settlements in the region. In fact, the town’s first permanent residents were Spanish missionaries who were known as ‘Asians’. The area’s rich heritage dates back to the Spanish explorers who came to the area. The town is also home to many churches, breweries, and other attractions. The closest airport is in Sacramento, CA.

If you’re traveling with a vehicle, Crescent City has a campground. There are 50 sites to choose from. This campground is situated three miles from the city center and is located near the Redwoods State Park. You can rent a campsite at the Florence Keller County Park and Campground. You’ll also find a large shared picnic area and horseshoe pits. The park has affordable nightly rates and allows pets on leash.
