Delta Junction is a small city in Southeast Fairbanks, Alaska. As of the 2010 census, the population was 958, down from 840 in 2000. It is located near the confluence of the Tanana River and the nearby, larger, lower-tanana River. The town is located near the delta of the two rivers, which are known as Big and Little Debra. This page provides basic information about Delta Junction and its surrounding area.

Delta Junction is a town of nine84 people. It’s situated on Historical Mile 1422 of the Alaska Highway and the Richardson Highway. The former ends the Alaska Highway in the area. The latter connects the town of Valdez at tidewater to Fairbanks in the Interior. The city has two main hotels and several restaurants. The Delta River is nearby. However, there are no hotels or motels in the town. The only way to get to them is by taking the Richardson Highway.

Despite the name, Delta Junction is not the only place to visit in the area. The community is a thriving agricultural community and is home to the Highway’s End Farmer’s Market. There are also several fairs in Delta each year, including the Deltana Fair. This event features livestock, craft and garden exhibits, tractor pulls, carnival rides and food vendors. Another attraction is the Alaska Homestead & Historical Museum, located about a half hour east of Delta Junction on Alaska Highway. This historical site includes a working homestead farm and a large collection of early farming equipment.

Delta Junction is located on the Tanana River and is part of the Delta-Greely School District. The community is surrounded by the White Mountains to the north, the Granite Mountains to the southeast, and the Alaska Range to the southwest. The town is also known as Big Delta. There are three mountain ranges surrounding the city. A certificate of completion of the Alaska Highway is available for travelers at the visitor center. If you’re looking for a place to stay in the area, this is the perfect location.

If you’re looking for a place to stay while visiting Delta Junction, there are a few options. The town’s two state parks are the Big Delta State Historical Park and the Quartz Lake State Park. The Sullivan Roadhouse is one of the oldest and only restored roadhouses in the state. A couple of good restaurants in the town include the Carolyn Alaskan Steakhouse. Among the most popular places to eat in Delta Junction are the Clearwater Lodge and the Sullivan Roadhouse.

There are many things to do in Delta Junction. Aside from the Tanana River, the town has a large concentration of natural features. The Sullivan Roadhouse is the oldest roadhouse in Interior Alaska and is the only restored one. The town is also home to the Donnelly Training Area, which is 46 acres of land in a highland environment. The region has a lot to offer visitors. It’s possible to find a unique experience while visiting the Delta area.
