As a coastal community, Eastham offers a number of attractions. While visiting the Cape Cod peninsula, visitors can enjoy the many beaches in the town. The beaches are as picturesque as those found in the National Seashore, except that the water is calmer here. Low tide brings flats to the shoreline, making for stunning sunsets. The largest bay beach in Eastham is First Encounter, where the first pilgrims met the native Indians in 1620.

In addition to its historical significance, the town is home to the Fort Hill Historic District, which is a pair of historic farmsteads. The farms were owned by the Knowles and Penninman families from 1742 to 1941. While there, visitors can enjoy extensive views of the area, and experience the rich history of the area. The town’s earliest days were marked by the Mayflower’s arrival. The town has been a popular destination for visitors ever since.

The town is home to a wide range of activities and attractions. Depending on your preferences, you can dine on fresh seafood, ride bikes on the scenic coastline, shop at specialty shops, or simply relax on the beach. The community is a wonderful place to experience the local culture. Whether you’re an outdoors person or a history buff, you’ll find a lot to do in Eastham. You’ll never run out of things to do!

The town has a large variety of beaches. Outside of Cape Cod National Seashore, you can visit Boat Meadow beach, Cooks Brook beach, and Thumpertown beach. If you’re looking for a vacation spot with beautiful beaches, consider renting a tent.

You can choose from three campgrounds in Eastham. You can stay in the town’s Atlantic Oaks campground near the Cape Cod National Seashore. While the campsites are standard, there are some nice touches such as music in the showers. The town’s beaches are just a few miles away, and it’s a short bike ride to Cape Cod. When you’re looking for a campground, you may find a lot of options to suit your needs.
