March 25, 2022 | More: Campgrounds| Fort Collins Colorado

If you are looking for a getaway in the Rocky Mountains, you should consider visiting Fort Collins, Colorado. This northern city has a large number of things to offer visitors. You can tour the historic district with its 1800s houses, take a vintage trolley, and explore the specialty shops and restaurants. You can also check out the Museum of Discovery, which has a digital dome theater and interactive exhibits. You can also explore the Horsetooth Mountain Open Space, home to the Horsetooth Rock formation and the waterfalls.

There are also several hiking and biking trails in the city. One of these is the 4.1-mile Pineridge Trail. Located west of Fort Collins, it’s one of the first natural areas protected by the city. You can also stop by the nearby Pineridge Nature Park to see animals and birds. A paved trail that meanders along the Cache la Poudre River is another popular hike. You can enjoy the scenery while getting exercise, and find the perfect picnic spot for a tasty dinner.

If you’re looking for a peaceful place to relax, try the Oval at Colorado State University. It’s a beautiful park filled with grass and hundred-year-old Elm trees. Getting to the city’s historic sites is easy, and parking is free on campus and on public streets. A lot of tourists also enjoy the town’s historic downtown area. There are many museums to explore as well, so you’re sure to find something you love.

If you’re looking for a quiet place to sit and relax while enjoying the great outdoors, consider hiking the Pineridge Trail. This loop is 4.1 miles long and is part of the Pineridge Natural Area, one of the city’s first protected natural areas. It’s a great place to see wildlife, and it’s not difficult to get around. If you like biking, try the Poudre River Trail, a 21-mile paved trail that meanders along the Cache la Poudre River.

While you’re in the Fort Collins Center for the Arts, be sure to check out the local breweries. You can catch a touring Broadway show at the center for the arts. Or you can check out a local playwright’s original drama at the theater. You can also catch a great concert at the Oregon Music & Art Institute. It’s a must-see for anyone who wants to experience the culture and the history of the area.

If you’re planning on camping in Fort Collin, remember that the city is far away and the campgrounds are remote. Be sure to bring all of your supplies. There is no trash service here, so you’ll have to cook all of your meals yourself. The campgrounds in Fort Collins are the perfect place for low-key camping or stay-cations. A number of other types of lodging are also available in the area, including a hotel and a motel.
