15 Best Campgrounds near Fort Morgan Alabama

March 23, 2022 | More: Campgrounds| Fort Morgan Alabama

Fort Bowyer and Fort Morgan are two names for the unincorporated community in Baldwin County, Alabama. Both communities are located on Mobile Point, which extends west from Gulf Shores, towards the historic Fort. The community is characterized by its historical significance and the fact that it served as a military base during the Civil War. Today, it’s a great place to vacation, and the surrounding area offers a wide variety of things to do.

For those who are looking for a romantic getaway, Fort Morgan offers beautiful scenery and a quaint old town feel. The town boasts many upscale shops and restaurants, as well as a pristine beach. Oceanfront vacation rentals feature private balconies and gourmet kitchens. Some even have outdoor showers and soaking tubs. The fort is still in use today and is a great place for a romantic getaway. There are several places to stay in the area, but if you want to get away from it all, Fort Morgan is an excellent choice.

Visitors to Fort Morgan can visit a museum that features exhibits of the soldiers of the fort. The museum is free and open year-round; however, active-duty service members are not allowed entry. The museum is also open on weekends and holidays, so it’s important to plan your trip accordingly. You can also spend the night at LuLu’s, where the city hosts its annual BooLu’s celebration.

Another option for a family-friendly beach vacation is the Martinique on the Gulf resort, which sits alongside a wildlife refuge. The Martinique resort community features two to five-bedroom condos and homes that can accommodate up to 14 guests. This smaller, family-oriented resort offers community bike trails, private beach access, multiple outdoor pools, and many amenities. While this is a popular spot, it isn’t for everyone.

A Fort Morgan Alabama museum is open seven days a week. Guests can explore the historical fort’s many artifacts, including military equipment, weapons, and history. The Fort is a great place to visit year-round, but the Fourth of July is a particularly meaningful holiday. You can enjoy a picnic on the pier or fish off the public pier. The fireworks show is so huge, you may want to bring a chair or blanket so you can relax and watch the fireworks.

For the best beach vacation in the area, check out the Orange Beach area. It is a great place to spend your day on the beach. A visit to this area will allow you to experience a number of different activities in the surrounding area. The main attraction is Fort Morgan, which is home to a history museum. The city has a great harbor for sailing, and you can enjoy the Gulf Coast’s sandy beaches. When you’re in the neighborhood, don’t forget to visit Fort Morgan.
