If you are considering moving to Oxford Mississippi, there are many things you can do while you are there. There are many things to do in Oxford and surrounding areas, so you’ll want to choose a place that has something for everyone. The University of Mississippi is located here, and it’s a wonderful place to live or study. You can enjoy the cosmopolitan mix of culture, history, and arts in this town. The University of Mississippi and downtown Oxford are nestled on ridges, while the main commercial corridors are in valleys.

In Oxford, there is a vibrant music scene and an art theater. You can also take a creative writing course at Ole Miss, or run with the Big Dogs. However, before you can visit the University, you’ll want to pay admission to the William Faulkner house, which is set in a 29-acre oak forest. Faulkner was inspired by his surroundings, and several of his stories are said to be based on his time there.

Oxford Mississippi is also home to several artists. Famous artists have recorded at the Sweet Tea Recording Studio in Oxford, Mississippi. You can also see recordings by Modest Mouse, Gavin Degraw, Elvis Costello, Counting Crows, and Beth Ann Fennelly. The town’s famous studio, operated by Dennis Herring, has won several Grammy awards. The city was once known as the art center of the South, and some of its best-known artists include figurative painter Jere Allen and expressionist artist Paula Temple.

Oxford has several cultural events to keep you entertained. The Oxford Farmers Market provides a place for locals to sell their wares and receives support from the city’s businessmen. It takes place every Tuesday from mid-April to late-November. The market takes place in the Community Pavilion along University Avenue. If you want to hear live music or other performances, you can visit the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts.

The University of Mississippi Museum is another popular place for people to visit during their Oxford Mississippi vacation. It features more than 20,000 objects on display, catering to a variety of historical and contemporary interests. There are collections of Greek and Roman artifacts, scientific instruments, and American art, as well as rotating exhibits. Additionally, the museum also offers educational programs and summer camps for children.
