You can tour the village’s mill pond, see its quaint, picturesque homes, and learn more about its rich and colorful history.

Winthrop the Younger and Winthrop the Second later bought the land from the Native Americans and began mining. Sturbridge wasn’t incorporated until 1738. While the early history of Sturbridge is not well known, the town is an important part of history and culture in Massachusetts.
