Campgrounds in Sun Valley Idaho offer a wonderful mix of proximity to nature and adventure, as well as amenities such as showers and sewage dumps. The great location makes this a top destination for camping trips. It is the perfect location to camp while enjoying the beauty of Idaho’s high mountains. Alternatively, you can choose to camp in a private spot, which is more likely to be more affordable. However, you’ll have to take note of your specific needs and budget before booking a campsite in Sun Valley.

If you’re a foodie, Sun Valley has many restaurants that specialize in local fare. You’ll find plenty of pizza in the area. La Cabanita and the Covey are local favorites. Enoteca is a trendy wine bar that offers Neapolitan-style pies. You can also indulge in small plates and wood-fired pizza at the local restaurant La Cabanita. There are many other places to eat in the area, but there are many options for dining and drinking.

For camping, there are numerous options available within the city limits of Sun Valley. You can find a private or public campground within the Sawtooth National Forest. There are developed campgrounds, as well, which are convenient for RVs and motor homes. For families, there is Boundary Campground located on the edge of Sun Valley, surrounded by aspen and cottonwood trees. Boundary Campground has nine campsites, each with its own fire ring, grill, and vault toilets. The Easley Campground is about 13 miles from Sun Valley, and is popular for its hot springs swimming pool.

If you love the outdoors, Sun Valley is an excellent place to hike and bike. Several trails can be found throughout the valley, so you can choose a trail that suits you best. There are also many free bike trails, which parallel Interstate 75 and can range from 10 to 20 miles. Once you get there, don’t forget to bring your waterproof camera, and you’ll be able to explore the mountain in a unique way.

You can also hike to Hell’s Canyon, the deepest river gorge in North America. The scenic Wild and Scenic Snake River winds through this gorge for 95 miles. During the winter, you’ll find yourself in the shade of a pine tree. During the summer months, the temperature in Sun Valley is above freezing. The mountain weather is mild and the temperature ranges between 20°F and 40°F. The area’s many outdoor activities make the area a perfect destination for families.

Another great choice for outdoor recreation is Silver Mountain. While not as large as other ski resorts, Silver Mountain is close to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. It offers a range of amenities, including hiking and fishing. There is even an indoor water park! The terrain is interesting and the snow is well groomed. You can even try skiing at Silver Mountain! When visiting the region, don’t forget to pack your sleeping bag!
