Highway 101 passes through Ferndale and the Avenue of the Giants, a tourist town that offers great scenic views and a variety of shopping opportunities. The city is also home to the world’s largest grove of old growth redwoods. It’s a great place to visit, but make sure you have plenty of gas. The road from Fort Bragg to Ferndale is about 35 miles long.

One of the main attractions of Ferndale is the Avenue of the Giants, a 32-mile long road with stunning views. Along the way, you’ll see the Founder’s Grove, a 362-foot statue of a woman, and the Hearthstone of the California Federation of Women’s Clubs. The area is also known for its countless outdoor activities, from boating to fishing. Hikers will enjoy more than 100 miles of hiking trails. The park also offers more than 250 campsites for hikers.

Ferndale is a great place to see a variety of unique shops. For example, the Street of the Giants is lined with antique stores, which offer souvenirs and artifacts. The Avenue of the Giants parallels Highway 101 for 31 miles, and has access from Peperwood, Redcrest, and Miranda. The Avenue of the Gigantic Trees is a wonderful experience for nature lovers.

A great place to experience the giants is the Avenue of the Giants. This 32-mile road features the Founder’s Grove and the 36-foot Dyerville Giant. The SFWC Hearthstone is located nearby. If you’re looking for some recreational activities, the South Fork of the Eel River offers excellent fishing, boating, and swimming opportunities. For hikers, there are more than 100 miles of hiking trails.
