15 Best things to Do in Hawaii

July 28, 2022 | More: Things to Do

You’ve heard of the islands, but have you ever been to Hawaii? If not, this island paradise is a must-see for any traveler. You can find plenty of activities and places to visit on your next vacation, from historic buildings to pristine beaches. There’s plenty to do in Hawaii, no matter what your interests are. Here are a few of the most popular attractions:

If you’re an avid surfer, try to check out the North Shore of the Big Island. You’ll find some great surfing at Waimea Bay. If you’re a first-time surfer, you can check out some of the best surfing spots on the North Shore. H1 West will take you to HI-80, through Wahiawa. Continue on HI-99 to HI-83 East. Turn right and head north on HI-80. You’ll soon find yourself on HI-83 East.

There are several waterfalls in Hawaii, including Pu’uhonua O Honaunau, located at Two Step beach. While Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls are two of the more famous waterfalls on the island, there are dozens of other waterfalls to explore along the Kona Coast, including Peepee Falls and Kailuka River Falls. For the thrill-seeker, try hiking the famous Kalalau Trail in Kauai, or take a hike on the Napali coast of Kauai.

Visiting Pearl Harbor is another must-do activity in Hawaii. If you’re in the area, plan to arrive early to avoid the crowds. While the memorial opens at 7am, you should be prepared to stay for several hours, possibly longer. You should also bring warm clothes and check the weather conditions before you head out. You’ll be glad you did! Once you’ve visited the sights of Oahu, you’ll be amazed by how much fun you can have!

ATV tours are another fun way to see the sights. These tours typically take you on a 10+ mile ride through private lands and stop at scenic points, waterfalls, and historic sites. The Big Island is mainly known for its beaches, including world-class white sand beaches and black sand beaches. There are also botanical gardens that highlight the natural wonders of the islands. Regardless of your preference, there is something to suit every taste.

You can also view the majestic Manta Rays. These creatures, with an average wingspan of eleven feet, are a popular sight in Hawaii. You can snorkel and paddleboard to see them. These majestic creatures are very friendly, so make sure you take a waterproof camera to take pictures of them. The trip is sure to be an unforgettable experience. In fact, if you are lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a hammerhead while snorkelling on the island.

If you haven’t seen the Waimea Canyon on Kauai, it’s time to head to the south side of the island for an epic view. It’s located on the south end of the island, near Popipu. While you can’t reach the Waimea Canyon by driving from the north shore, you can take a day trip to see this scenic spot. Once you’ve reached the peak, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the ocean and the Poipu coastline.
