A visit to Luray, Virginia, will provide you with plenty of fun activities. You can visit the Luray Caverns, a massive underground cave system with walkways, unusual rock formations, and even a Great Stalacpipe Organ that makes the stalactites sing. You can also visit the Luray Valley Museum and check out replicas of 19th century buildings. If you prefer to stay outdoors, visit Lake Arrowhead Park, where you can walk along a nature trail and relax by the lake.

In addition to Luray Caverns, you can visit the Car and Carriage Caravan Museum. The museum is located near the Luray Caverns, where you can see rare antique automobiles and a model T. If you’d rather be more adventurous, you can try Jet-skiing or ATV rentals. You can even hire a party boat or go fishing. Luray is a great place to explore history.

In Luray, VA, you can also enjoy live music at the Valley Cork restaurant. The Cooter’s Garage Band performs on Saturday afternoons, and the owner often meets with fans after the show. There are also guest bands every Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. In addition to live music, the Luray Train Station houses a small museum and visitor center, which are the perfect resources for Luray vacations. Once you arrive in Luray, you can also take a look at the Hawksbill Greenway Foundation, a small railroad museum.

If you’re a puzzle lover, you might want to visit the Luray Maze. This privately owned attraction has over 80 varieties of animals and includes a petting zoo. Skyline Drive is another popular attraction in Luray. This scenic drive stretches 105 miles through the Blue Ridge, Virginia Piedmont, and the Shenandoah River Valley. The entrance station is located at Mile 31.5 on U.S. 211, and is open twenty-four hours a day. There are seventy scenic overlooks along the way. You can even try your luck at fishing during your visit.

A visit to Luray Caverns will also provide you with a wonderful family experience. The Garden Maze is a half mile long hedge maze that has 1,500 evergreen hedges. The garden is handicap accessible and suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. The Garden Maze is another attraction worth visiting in Luray. It has a special children’s play area and is wheelchair accessible. A visit to Luray Caverns will make you appreciate the history of the area.
