If you’re visiting the Twin Cities, you’ll definitely want to explore the Nicollet Island/East Bank neighborhood, which is a cultural melting pot and the perfect place for a beer and food crawl. Here, you can sample the local favorites, including smoked meat and hot wings. The nearby St Anthony Main Theatre is a two-story gem and has won awards for its culinary interpretation of Midwestern flavors. While you’re here, don’t miss the Flour Mill Museum, which features interesting exhibits and interactive displays of vintage machinery. The Museum also offers a cafe and a film about the city’s history.

Those who love live jazz music can check out the historic State Theatre or the modern Target Field. These historic landmarks were built in the 1920s, and the state theatre was built in 1921. It is home to several world-class jazz artists, including Charles Brown and Roy Haynes. You can also catch a show at the Pantages Theatre, a smaller venue that opened in 1916. If you’re in the mood for a night out on the town, consider attending a concert at the Skyway Theatre.

If you’re looking for an amusement park, head to the Apple Valley Zoo, a 485-acre complex located just south of downtown Minneapolis. This zoo features nearly 5,000 animals, a variety of educational exhibits, and an Imax theater. The Apple Valley Zoo offers a variety of entertainment for families of all ages, and the zo features an American black bear, wolverines, and coyotes.

If you’re looking for an activity that will keep you active, try one of the city’s many trampoline parks. They’re free to visit and open six days a week, so you can spend the whole day playing around in the sun. You can even try out a new skill or two at one of the parks. You’ll be glad you did! Aside from parks, Minneapolis has other cultural attractions and museums to enjoy. Located just 2 miles south of downtown, the Phillips neighborhood is an eclectic and multicultural melting pot.
