If you love vintage Americana music, then a trip to Montgomery Alabama is definitely in order. This city is home to some of the finest vintage acoustic guitars in the country, as well as a thriving antique market. While you’re in town, don’t miss the Eastbrook Flea Market and Antique Mall. This three-story attraction features hundreds of vendors selling everything from historic items to modern items. You can even pick up fresh flowers for your garden. The market is open daily from 10am to 6pm and there’s even free popcorn.

If you’re traveling with children, you can also visit the Rosa Parks Museum. This museum is a great place to take them. It contains exhibits about the 1955 bus boycott, as well as an active memorial to Rosa Parks. For those with adults, there’s also a children’s museum for younger children. Those with older children may want to join a Civil Rights walking tour of Montgomery. It’s free, so be sure to plan ahead.

If you’re visiting Montgomery, be sure to check out King Memorial Baptist Church. The Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. preached from here from 1954 to 1960. The church was also the site of the Normal School for Colored Students, a branch of the University of Alabama. King Memorial is an important historical place, and you can tour it on a guided tour. Some businesses may be temporarily closed for health and safety reasons, but it’s worth the visit.

There’s a lot to do in Montgomery, and you can find many things to do for a fun-filled family vacation. The city also has its own minor-league baseball team, the Montgomery Biscuits. The Biscuits are a Class AA affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and were Southern League champions in 2006 and 2007. They play their home games at the Riverwalk Stadium. In addition to regular games, the Biscuits have a luxurious suite level that is open to the public.

If you’re interested in education, Montgomery is home to several public and private colleges, as well as military schools. In fact, Montgomery is home to fifteen different colleges, universities, and military schools. Additionally, in 2004, Hyundai Motors Manufacturing Alabama opened a $1.4 billion automotive plant in Montgomery, the first in the United States. The company employs 3,000 people and produces next-generation models of the Sonata sedan and Santa Fe sport utility vehicle.

If you’re looking for free things to do in Montgomery, the Museum of Civil Rights is a great place to start. The museum includes a brief video about the civil rights movement, a special mural, and other multimedia learning experiences. You can also visit Dr. King’s former office, which was a place of worship for the civil rights activist. If you want to learn about the city’s history while you’re visiting, the museum is open from 10am to 5pm Monday through Sunday.

One of the main attractions of Montgomery is its theatres. The Carolyn Blount Theatre is home to the Montgomery Shakespeare Festival, one of the largest theaters in the world. Throughout the year, the festival stages up to 14 plays, including three Shakespeare productions. This historic performance hall moved to Montgomery in the 1980s, and financial support provided by Winton M. Blount Cultural Park helped bring the festival to Montgomery. A visit to the theater will be a memorable experience for you and your family.
