In the heart of the desert, you can experience an upscale shopping experience in Palm Springs. Its satellite location in Palm Desert and design district aren’t quite as convenient as those in Los Angeles, but you can still go out and enjoy some upscale shopping. Near Palm Springs, head to the Palm Springs Fashion Center, a one-hour drive from downtown. There, you’ll find upscale boutiques, prestigious salons, and jewelry stores. You can also visit nearby restaurants and experience top-notch fashion designers like Ralph Lauren and Louis Vuitton.

Those who have a fascination for aircraft should visit the Palm Springs Air Museum. With more than 70 vintage airplanes, this museum exhibits the history of the USA during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. You’ll also be able to see artifacts documenting US history from the eras of the Wright Brothers and other famous aviation pioneers. In addition to the museum’s five dozen aircraft, the Palm Springs Air Museum has a dedicated education center and research library. There’s also a gift shop for your souvenirs.

Another place to visit is the Greater Palm Springs Visitor Bureau. This bureau can provide a map of public art installations. You can also view sculptures at the Fountain of Life, located in Cathedral City. The Messenger of the Puul honors the Cahuilla tribe. Sculptures like these are a must-see for art lovers. A holiday in Palm Springs is not complete without exploring the desert’s arid landscapes. Hollywood celebrities once frequented Palm Springs, and now it’s a city for vacationers and hipsters. Palm Springs offers a wide variety of low-key activities – from relaxing at one of the city’s spas to playing golf – and a great restaurant scene, too! With so much to do, it’s hard to stay in one place for too long!

Golf is another pastime in Palm Springs, with more than 100 championship courses, including several public and private courses. Some of them are open year-round, making them perfect for golfers of all skill levels. The La Quinta Resort & Club Mountain Course is one of the most visually-appealing courses in California. Jack Nicklaus designed the courses at Escena Golf Club. If you’re looking for a more challenging course, try SilverRock Resort, which offers rare shade in the shadows of the Santa Rosa Mountains.
