15 Best things to Do in Seattle

June 27, 2022 | More: Seattle| Things to Do

Summertime in Seattle is a great time to explore the city and enjoy its diverse attractions. The city has many things to do for everyone, from shopping to dining. Here are just a few ideas to get you started. Let’s take a look at some of the best Seattle spots. Getting around Seattle is easy. All you need to do is take advantage of its proximity to the city center, or head to the parks and waterfront. You can also take a boat tour or enjoy a kayaking adventure on Lake Union.

The Space Needle was built in 1962 for the World’s Fair. It offers sweeping views of the city, Puget Sound, and the Olympic Mountains. It was renovated recently with Skyrisers that give the feeling of floating in open space. Another attraction in Seattle is the world’s first revolving glass floor, or Loupe. If you are visiting Seattle, make sure to check out the Space Needle! Seattle is full of museums and cultural attractions to enjoy.

You can explore the city by going on a hike. If you are into hiking, Seattle’s Rainier National Park is an excellent place to visit. You can find easy hikes, multi-day treks, and other scenic spots around the park. Seattle is surrounded by mountains and the ocean, so you will not get bored with the city’s density. Getting out of the city is an excellent way to get in touch with nature. And while visiting the city, make sure you visit some of the surrounding towns.

Seattle is also known for its large bodies of water. The city is home to several lakes, canals, and inlets. This city’s penchant for water transportation draws on ancient Native American traditions. The Duwamish tribe once maintained a village on Lake Union and used cedar wood canoes to fish in the lake. Getting to the city by water is a great way to explore the city. A Seattle water taxi service can take you anywhere in the city by water.

If you love art, Seattle is the city for you. The city offers many opportunities to enjoy the art scene. There are many outdoor activities during the spring and summer months. A few of my favorites include the Seattle Art Museum, and Pike Place Market. For a more culturally-minded experience, you should visit the Seattle Art Museum, which has an enormous collection of modern and contemporary art. There are special exhibitions that feature Aboriginal, Meso-American, African, and Ancient Mediterranean art. And if you like art, you can find many places to enjoy your city’s attractions near the museum.

For outdoor fun, you can visit the Kerry Park area. This park is popular with tourists and is one of Seattle’s top Instagram spots. There are beautiful trees in bloom and benches for picnicking. During the spring, Kerry Park is a perfect place to relax. And don’t forget about the free boat rides, which take place every Sunday. The Seattle Mariners play at T-Mobile Park, so you won’t have to worry about finding a spot for a picnic, either.
