During your visit to St Martinville, Louisiana, you’ll want to check out the state’s beautiful churches. The parish church, known as the Mother Church of the Acadians, is the center piece of St Martin Square, and is also part of the city’s larger historic district. There are 32 buildings dating back to the 1820s in the historic district, as well as the Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site. The church features a statue of Evangeline, the heroine of the famous poem by Henry Wadworth Longfellow.

The city is located in the Atchafalaya Bayou, and is known as the “Crawfish Capital of the World.” The nearby town of Henderson has great freshwater fishing and plenty of Cajun food. Another great activity to enjoy is Lake Martin, which is close to Breaux Bridge and has a boardwalk and kayak rentals. The park is home to a waterfowl rookery and an alligator swamp.

If you’re driving to St Martinville, you’ll need to find hotel parking. This is usually a flat-rate fee per night, but some hotels even offer luxury parking or charging stations for electric vehicles. Another option for sightseeing in St Martinville is the Vermilionville Living History Museum. This museum is a living history museum, and costumed craftspeople are on hand to demonstrate traditional Acadian crafts and relive history from a bygone era. You can even catch some crabs, fish, and birds while you’re there. You can pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the wildlife. You can also check out the Vermillionville Living Museum, which is located in LaFayette.

In addition to shopping, St Martinville Louisiana is home to the famous Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets. You’ll find great restaurants to satisfy any palate. There’s something for everyone at the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets, including cafes, coffee shops, and even a movie theater. The town also has a casino. The area is filled with fun things to do for the whole family. If shopping is not your thing, you can check out the Shreveport Water Works Museum, a historic water pumping station.
