Waterville Valley is a small town in Grafton County, New Hampshire. Its population is estimated at 508 people, up from 247 in 2010.

A new resort was developed in the 1960s. The resort has expanded several times since then, expanding from four to six thousand skiers on weekends. The Waterville Mountain Resort was developed by two-time Olympian Tom Corcoran. He worked with Sno Engineering and was flown around the valley by Ted Farwell. The Waterville Company was formed and the Waterville ski resort is now one of the top skiing destinations in the Northeast. It has also been the site of several national and international events.
In 1968, the Waterville Valley was incorporated as a town and became a ski resort. The population was 247 at the time of the 2010 Census. However, the town was formerly called Waterville until 1967. As of 2010 it has become a popular tourist destination. It is the fifth smallest community in New Hampshire. It is also ranked 230rd in population among the incorporated towns and cities. In terms of area, the town covers 64.4 square miles of land and zero square miles of inland water.
