15 Classic Souvenirs from Fort Myers Beach Florida

April 13, 2022 | More: Fort Myers Beach Florida| Souvenirs

The city of Fort Myers Beach Florida is located on the island of Estero. This long sandy beach faces the Gulf of Mexico. Nearby, visitors can visit the Ostego Bay Marine Science Center, which features a variety of local marine life. East of Fort Myers Beach, the Matanzas Pass Preserve features beautiful natural scenery and an archaeological museum. In addition, the city’s Times Square is home to several shops and restaurants.

The city is home to many attractions, including the Fort Myers Beach itself. If you’re visiting the area for vacation, make sure to take time to visit the city’s nature preserves. Fort Myers Beach has several nature preserves, and the Manatee Park is no exception. You can kayak, canoe, or even see manatees. The park also has gift shops and kayak rentals for those who don’t want to hike.

While the city’s pier is a popular place to fish, you should keep in mind that you must have a license to fish in Florida. You can get this online, or purchase a license from local businesses. Fishing is also allowed at Fort Myers Beach Pier, but you’ll need a fishing license if you want to fish in saltwater. Fishing from the Fort Myers Beach Pier requires an annual fishing license. However, this fee is paid by Lee County to the state.

Another great reason to visit the Fort Myers beach area is its close proximity to Tampa, home of the Rays and Buccaneers. There are numerous state parks and nature preserves on the island, each with their own distinct perspective on nature. One such place, Bowditch Point Park, is also a Great Florida Birding Trail site. The park covers seven acres of developed park space and the remaining 10 acres are open to restoration and preservation.

A short drive away, Fort Myers Beach sits on an island, Estero Island, which is part of Lee County. The area has a tropical climate and seven miles of white sand. The city also has a lively nightlife and is home to a large population of manatees. This city also has a diverse range of restaurants and stores, and it’s easy to spend an entire day exploring it.

Regardless of the type of income you’re looking for, there are some basic statistics that can help you decide if Fort Myers Beach is a good fit for your needs. Fort Myers Beach is home to approximately 68,000 people. Approximately 1% of residents are Hispanic. Fort Myers Beach has a low unemployment rate, compared to many cities. If you’re a recent immigrant to the Fort Myers area, it’s likely that you’ll feel right at home.

One of Fort Myers’ hidden gems is Little Hickory Island Park, located near Lover’s Key State Park. This little gem of a beach is away from the hustle and bustle of Fort Myers Beach and Bonita Beach. While the sand in Fort Myers Beach is gorgeous, you’ll be glad you took the time to discover it for yourself. There are dozens of activities to do on the beach, including parasailing.
