15 Classic Souvenirs from Glenwood Springs Colorado

April 4, 2022 | More: Glenwood Springs Colorado| Souvenirs

For a day of relaxation, visit the resort city of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This mountain community is famous for its natural hot springs, which make it the perfect vacation destination. The area is surrounded by the White River National Forest, which is filled with beautiful mountains, rivers, lakes, and wildlife. You can explore the Hanging Lake or visit the historic Glenwood Caverns, an ancient network of caves. Or, go wild at the Adventure Park, which features canyon swings and roller coasters.

There are numerous recreational activities in Glenwood Springs, including the South Canyon Hot Spring, which has a rustic, undeveloped feel. Camping and RV-friendly RV-parking are also available at Ami’s Acres or The Hideout, which are both excellent choices if you want to camp. There are several rivers nearby, including the Colorado River, which flows through the town. The Roaring Fork River is the longest Gold Medal Water in the U.S., while the Crystal River is a great place to catch trout.

You’ll never be short on things to do in Glenwood Springs. While rafting is a popular pastime, the town also boasts eclectic retail shops. Many of them are in historical buildings, making for a unique experience. One favorite among locals is the Mona Lisa women’s clothing store. While it’s small, it’s fun and fabulous! If you’re looking for a unique piece of clothing, visit Mona Lisa.

As a popular spot for outdoor recreation, Glenwood Springs offers a variety of concerts, festivals, and other events. A popular party band, The Missing Link Band, plays rock, jazz, and country and Western favorites. The group has a unique sound and is able to appeal to a wide age range of patrons. You can also check out the Doc Holliday Museum and Memorial, a museum dedicated to the legendary outlaw.

The city’s hot springs are another attraction. The city is home to two natural hot springs, which are heated to help you escape the winter chill. You can also go whitewater rafting, which is popular during the summer. This is the perfect activity for outdoor enthusiasts. In addition to rafting, the town is known for its fishing. However, swimming is not recommended. The mud in the river is toxic.

If you love to soak in natural hot springs, you can’t go wrong with a visit to this Colorado city. The hot springs here have been attracting people for centuries. During the Ute Indians’ time here, the healing waters were used for bathing and medicine. During the early years of the 19th century, European settlers began opening the Glenwood Hot Springs, as well as the Hotel Colorado, which was a popular destination for travelers from all over the country.
