The Battle Green, or Lexington Common, is a historic landmark that is home to a life-size bronze statue of a colonial minuteman. Located on Massachusetts Ave, the monument was designed by Henry Kitson and faces the route of the British advance. It features a bronze plaque and basin for collecting water, and was dedicated on Patriots’ Day 125 years ago. The battle took place at this site, and a statue of Lexington Militia Captain John Parker stands on the site of the original battle.

You can also check out local artists’ works by participating in open studio tours or even sign up for a workshop. There are many other museums and attractions in the area, too. In addition to historical buildings, there are also many funky cafes and pubs to visit in Lexington. And if you love shopping, you can do it right at the Old Reservoir.
