15 Classic Souvenirs from Pendleton Oregon

June 3, 2022 | More: Pendleton Oregon| Souvenirs

If you’re interested in traveling to a unique place, you’ll want to consider visiting Pendleton, Oregon. There are numerous holiday celebrations and events to consider, from traditional holiday celebrations to off-the-beaten-path holiday experiences. Here are some suggestions:

Stay in a historic bed-and-breakfast. The Working Girls Hotel replicates the look and feel of the days when the women in the town were prostitutes. There’s even a cowboy mural in the parlor! Definitely a unique lodging option, it’s also one of the few non-chain hotels in the area. During your stay, try a tasty meal from Pendleton’s Craft Brewing Co. The local cuisine reflects the throwback feel of this small-town town. A home-baked whoopie pie and a Prodigal Son IPA are among the items you can pick up on the menu at this restaurant.

Visit the Oregon Grain Growers Brand Distillery, the first distillery in Pendleton since prohibition. Their products are made with local ingredients and are available in a tasting room. The owners are also local farmers, which means that they control the quality of the ingredients they use for their products. The distillery also has its own mill on site, which ensures the quality of the alcohol. The company sells its spirits throughout Oregon through the OLCC.

While in Pendleton, be sure to visit the Pendleton Blanket Mill. A free tour is available Monday through Friday. Visitors can explore the history of the mills and learn about the manufacturing process behind their iconic woolen blankets. You can also shop for blankets at the Mill’s retail store. For a unique souvenir, you can even try a hand-crafted blanket from a Native American. This is a fun way to discover the town’s rich history and culture.

There are numerous places to enjoy the beautiful outdoors in Pendleton. There are several public parks in the area, including Pendleton Riverwalk, which is a 3.2-mile paved pathway that runs along the Umatilla River. This is a great place for exercising in the morning, and it connects to Pendleton’s skateparks, baseball fields, and Roy Raley Park. The city is also home to many historic buildings, such as the beautiful Pendleton Opera House.

Underground Tours in Pendleton are another fun way to see the city’s history. These tours are conducted by well-trained historians who will teach you about the city’s dark past. The Underground Tours include old opium dens, saloons, and Chinese laundry. Those who are interested in learning more about the history of Eastern Oregon should take the Underground Tours. They are offered Saturdays from 10am to 5pm and are a great way to learn about this fascinating city.

Roy Raley Park is one of the oldest parks in Pendleton. It has a variety of activities for everyone in the family, from toddlers to grandparents. The park is also home to the town’s ice rink, which attracts a lot of visitors during the winter months. Pendleton has plenty to offer for the entire family. If you’re looking for an exciting getaway, Pendleton might be the perfect place to explore.
