In addition, the town’s proximity to the San Juan Mountains provides some excellent skiing and snowboarding opportunities.

Winter Park is home to the longest Alpine Slide in the world, and is perfect for families or those who like to experience the thrill of a thrilling adventure. This 3,000-foot slide offers breathtaking views of the Colorado Rockies and is a popular activity year-round. Visitors can also enjoy the view from the mountain top while taking a gondola ride up the 10-thousand-foot mountain pass. There are also plenty of other activities to keep the entire family busy during a stay in Winter Park.

The town is located in Grand County, which is only a short drive from Denver. Winter Park is a popular ski resort, and has been open for more than seventy years. The resort receives 320 inches of snow per year, and has 300 days of sunshine. It offers 3,081 acres of terrain, and is only 67 miles from Denver International Airport. It is ranked as the number one mogul run in North America by Skiing Magazine. The U.S. Freestyle Mogul Team has trained in the area.

If you want to try out the food and drink scene in Winter Park, head to the town’s downtown district. US-Highway 40 runs through the heart of the city, and is lined with local restaurants, shops, and bars. A few notable eateries in this area include Hernando’s Pizza Pub and Rippy’s Mountain Tavern. Whether you prefer a hearty breakfast or a delicious steak dinner, the town is an excellent place for dinner.

Aside from a quaint downtown area, Winter Park offers a variety of attractions and activities for visitors. Four championship golf courses are located here, and a great hiking trail system can get you out in the mountains. Winter Park also offers white-water rafting opportunities on the Colorado River. The Arapaho and Roosevelt National forests are nearby. You can also take a train from Denver. However, tickets to ride the Winter Park Express must be purchased ahead of time.

If you are traveling on a budget, Winter Park lodging is not the most expensive option. In the heart of downtown, the Winter Park Pub is a popular spot among tourists and locals alike. You can also try the vertical bistro and tap, which is a ski lodge-themed restaurant near the ice skating rink. If you are on a budget, Winter Park offers several inexpensive accommodations that are convenient to the slopes. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, including a casual pub with a warm atmosphere.
