The name of the town comes from The Blowing-Rock waterfall, which offers breathtaking views of the Johns River Gorge, mountains, and forests. There are many things to do in Blowing-Rock, including visiting the Art & History Museum and Moses H. Cone Memorial Park, a beautifully preserved country estate with a historic 1901 mansion. Visitors can also enjoy Annie Cannon Gardens, which leads to the Glen Marie and Glen Burney waterfalls.
