Brattleboro is a town in Windham County, Vermont. It is the most populous municipality in the county. This town is located in the northeastern part of the state. In the U.S., Brattleboro is located in the greater Burlington area. There are a variety of things to do in Brattleboro. Here are a few suggestions for things to do in the city. Hillwinds Trails is a trail system that features 3.7 miles of hiking trails. It is located near the north border of the Town of Brattleboro. These trails are ideal for mountain bikers, hikers, and trail runners. These 2.7-mile loops are accessible by car and also offer opportunities for other loops. For mountain bikers, the Ridge and Connector Trails are available. Both of these trails are easy and offer moderate width singletrack trails with low-to-moderate technical difficulty.

Those looking for a more secluded hiking experience can visit the Ice Pond Trail. The Ice Pond Trail is accessible from Upper Dummerston Road. Another option is Living Memorial Park. The Ice Pond Trail requires Tick Smart protection. The trails are great for families. The area around the lake is ideal for dog owners. If you’re a hiker, you can try the trails in the town’s municipal park. While this is a small town, the town offers lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

The Hillwinds Trails system consists of 3.7 miles of hiking trails in a mature white pine forest. The Upper and Beaver Pond trails are each 1.8 miles long. The Ridge Trail is an additional 3.5 miles long. There are many loops available for mountain bikers to choose from. The trail system is moderate width and intermediate technical difficulty. The town has an active outdoor culture. It was ranked as one of the Top 20 Small Towns in America in 2015.

Getting out of the city is not difficult. The West River Trail is a 16-mile rail-trail that connects Brattleboro to St. Albans and many other destinations in western Massachusetts. The trail has a trail guide for dogs and is open every day. It’s a great place to hike. It’s also a popular destination for hikers and cyclists. The BEEC’s trails are two miles in length and are open from dawn to dusk.

The town is located at the confluence of the Connecticut River and the West River. Native Americans named the towns and regions based on their rivers. As a result, Brattleboro is home to several unique cultural attractions. The town is home to the world’s only downtown. With its vibrant local food scene and an urban arts scene, the downtown is a true urban oasis. There are many galleries, cafes, and boutiques in the area.
