If you’re traveling to South Carolina, a trip to Columbia should be on your itinerary. This South Carolina capital city boasts many attractions, including the state house and the Robert Mills House, a mansion turned museum. Upon arrival, you can tour the Greek Revival Statehouse, set in beautifully landscaped gardens with monuments. You can also visit the Riverbanks Zoo & Garden, a large park with botanical gardens and animal enclosures. You can also view the Columbia Museum of Art, which displays a variety of art and crafts from around the world.

If you’d like to experience the outdoors, Columbia is a great destination. The city is located near several large southern cities, so you can easily take a day trip to one of them. The town is only nine miles from the nearest metropolitan area, so you can take advantage of the nearby attractions. For instance, if you’re interested in culture, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to visit museums and zoos, as well as the South Carolina Aquarium.

Columbia is surrounded by beautiful parks and green spaces, and it’s easy to see why. For example, Saluda Shoals Park is just south of downtown Columbia and boasts more than 400 acres of lush natural space. Here, you can visit the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission Headquarters and enjoy an outdoor concert. If you haven’t yet been to the Park, you shouldn’t miss it! You’ll be glad you did!

The town of Columbia is a great place to take a vacation if you’re a history buff. The historic waterworks park is a wonderful way to see the city’s natural beauty. The park features a riverfront park and 18 miles of trails. You can go fishing and canoeing in this beautiful park, or take a stroll along the Congaree River. If you’re looking for something more active, you can try the nearby golf course.

Visitors and residents can enjoy outdoor activities throughout Columbia, including the Congaree National Forest, the largest old-growth hardwood forest in the southeast. The Sesquicentennial State Park has 1,400 acres of pines and is also popular with locals and visitors. If you’re looking for more nature, you can visit the Riverbanks Zoo & Garden. You can also take a boat tour to Lake Murray, the largest manmade lake in Columbia.

Visitors can find many outdoor activities in Columbia. The city boasts the Congaree National Park, the largest old-growth bottom-land hardwood forest in the southeast. The Sesquicentennial State Park features 1,400 acres of pine trees. During the winter, there are two snow flurry events per year, though winter is typically dry. In addition to these attractions, there are also many unique things to do in Columbia.
