15 Hiking Trails in Falmouth and Woods Hole Massachusetts

Falmouth and Woods Hole are two census-designated places in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, located at the extreme southwest corner of Cape Cod. Both towns are near Martha’s Vineyard and the Elizabeth Islands. As of the 2010 census, the town has a population of 781. In 1850, the population was only 158. Today, the population is over 3,000. There are many reasons to visit Falmouth and Woods Hole.

The town of Woods Hole, Massachusetts, is a coastal community located on Cape Cod. While you’re in the area, don’t skip the Nobska Lighthouse, which offers incredible views of Martha’s Vineyard. Another place that’s worth a visit is Salty Woods Hole, Massachusetts, a salty little village that’s known around the world for its oceanic scientific research. Its headquarters include the Marine Biological Laboratory, the NOAA National Marine Fisheries, and the Sea Education Association. There’s also the Woodshole Science Aquarium, the oldest in the country.

While Woods Hole may sound like a nerdy scientist’s village, it’s actually one of the hipper towns on Cape Cod. It’s home to a plethora of shops and restaurants, and a small town square called Water Street. Parking can be difficult in the summer, but the Shining Sea Bikeway is a great option. It’s easy to access and offers a variety of bike paths.

Falmouth and Woods Hole, Massachusetts are charming little towns with a classic New England style. The historic Main Street is easily walkable. The waterfront is filled with Victorian summer houses. To the east of Falmouth is the village of Woodshole, which has several world-renowned oceanic research institutions. The village also serves as a ferry terminal to Martha’s Vineyard. The area’s attractions are sure to keep you busy for a long period of time.

In addition to its beautiful landscape and great beaches, Woods Hole is also home to some of the world’s best-known museums and institutions. There are plenty of museums and historical sites to explore and plenty of outdoor activities to keep you busy. The town of Falmouth is an ideal place for a family vacation with young children. If you’re looking for a day out in the sun, check out the beach on the Shining Sea Bikeway. It’s an easy way to get around the area while exploring the natural beauty of the region.

For outdoor recreation in Falmouth, Woods Hole’s Shining Sea Bikeway is an excellent location. It runs through the center of the town of Falmouth and the nearby towns. Along the way, you’ll pass through picturesque vistas, picturesque woodlands, and cranberry bogs. While you’re in the town of Falmouth, you’ll definitely want to take a bike ride on the Shining Sea Bikeway.
