For those of you unfamiliar with the area, Fort Davis is the county seat of Jeff Davies County, Texas. It is an unincorporated community. The population of Fort Davis was 1,201 at the 2010 census, up from around 1,050 in the 2000 census. As of 2010, the population of the town was the county seat of Jeff Travis County. It is also known as the “Town of the Eagle.” If you are considering moving to Fort and want to know more about the area, keep reading to learn about the area.

If you’re traveling to Fort Davis, don’t miss the McDonald Observatory, which is located west of town. This famous astronomy facility is owned by the University of Texas at Austin. Here, an international team of astronomers observed a planet that orbits a white dwarf. The observatory also holds weekly Star Parties and a Twilight Program for visitors. At a height of six thousand feet, the view from the top of the mountain is breathtaking.

Another popular attraction is the McDonald Observatory. The famous McDonald Observatory has two floors of telescopes and is located in a Dark Sky Sanctuary. The lighting must face downwards to avoid contaminating the night sky. This allows visitors to enjoy stunning views of the stars and other stars. The observatory has an exhibit gallery and a gift shop. You can also visit the outdoor telescope park. To visit the observatory, you must make a reservation. The hours of visits are limited, so make sure you plan accordingly.

A trip to Fort Davis should not be incomplete without visiting the Rattlers and Reptiles Museum. This museum features 19 species of rattlesnakes. In addition, the museum also features an exhibit that has over 100 different species of reptiles, amphibians, and tarantulas. The exhibition also has several interesting artifacts from the area. The place is the perfect getaway for nature lovers. It is the ideal destination for those seeking an unforgettable experience.
