The capital city of Hawaii, Honolulu serves as the gateway to the U.S. island chain. Waikiki, the renowned crescent beach backed by palm trees and high-rise hotels, is Hawaii’s epicenter. The USS Arizona Memorial and the Pearl Harbor memorial are both worth a visit, and the USS Arizona itself is an iconic sight. Visitors are encouraged to visit both sites as they offer great views of the Pacific Ocean.

There is no shortage of things to do in Honolulu, with something for everyone. If you’re looking for a day out, head to the Koolau Shopping Center, located near the Valley of the Temples. Once you’re there, you’ll find many restaurants and public restrooms. There are also outdoor showers for your convenience. If you’re hiking with your family or with a group of friends, consider hiking up the mountain at Diamond Head State Monument.

The Lanikai Pillbox Hike is a popular hiking trail in the area. This trail traces an old military bunker ridge. You can take this hike to view the pristine beaches of Lanikai. The view is breathtaking! It’s also a great way to explore the Moku Islands. It’s best to follow a map to avoid getting lost on the way. At this point, you’ll be surprised by how many great ways there are to explore.
