You may have heard of Rock Springs Wyoming. However, you may not have any idea about its history or culture. Here is a quick guide to the city. The population of the city was 23,036 as of the 2010 census. This makes Rock Springs the fifth most populous city in Wyoming, and the largest in Sweetwater County. If you have never visited, here are some tips to help you plan your vacation. You’ll love this charming mountain town, and the beautiful scenery it has to offer.

You’ll be pleased with the variety of dining options in Rock Springs. From fried chicken to seafood and wonton soup, Rock Springs has something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for greasy spoon style food or fine dining, you’ll find it at a Rock Springs restaurant. And remember that it’s a great place to explore if you’re on a budget. With so much to do and see, Rock Springs has something for everyone!

The median age of residents in Rock Springs is 31.5 years. There are around 11.4% of residents who are under the age of 18. The next largest age group is 25-34, followed by 45-64 and 65+. As for sex, the majority of Rock Springs residents are White. A high percentage of Rock Springs residents are American citizens, making this a very diverse city. Those who are gay or lesbian may be attracted to Rock Springs due to its diverse community.

Historically, the coal industry has defined the city’s character, and its ties to coal mining were responsible for the worst ethnic massacre in U.S. history. In fact, the town is also known as the “Home of 56 Nationalities” because immigrants from all over the world came to work in the coal mines that provided the Union Pacific Railroad with fuel. It is difficult to imagine the city today without the presence of coal, but the thriving coal industry has left behind a rich cultural heritage.

The town’s cable television franchise, All West Communications, offers a variety of channels for residents. Rock Springs’ channel lineup includes Wyoming PBS, the ABC affiliate KTWO-TV in Casper, and the major channels of Salt Lake City. In addition, Rock Springs hosts the Wyoming’s Big Show county fair every summer. This fair includes theme park rides, booths, restaurants, live entertainment, and many other attractions. Rodeos have also been a staple at the annual fair.

As the town continued to grow, its population became increasingly diverse. Hispanic immigrants came to Rock Springs in search of economic opportunity, new homes, and money for their families. In 1885, the town’s population was 16 percent Hispanic, with most of these immigrants coming from Mexico. After incorporation, a new group of immigrants arrived and changed the demographics of the city. While census data is not always available, you can always find a phone book to get a feel for the community’s multicultural makeup.

Although Rock Springs, WY has cold winters and warm summers, its average January temperatures are still well below the national average. During the summer, the temperature is hot, but not hot enough to qualify as a desert. Rock Springs, WY has 6.4 days of rain per year and averages 29.1 degF in January. The highest percentage of winters in Rock Springs is in the Office & Administrative Support Occupations sector, with nearly two-thirds of its residents employed in sales and related occupations.
