While you’re in Seneca Falls, be sure to visit the Women’s Rights National Historical Park. This park tells the story of the 1848 Women’s Rights Convention. This site includes an 1848 historic home, a visitor center, and a Wesleyan Chapel. You can tour the historic park’s structures during regular business hours. Admission is free. The museum is open every day from 10 am to 4 pm.

Wine is a popular activity in Seneca Falls, and you can tour several wineries during your stay. The Finger Lakes region boasts 70 wineries. Many of these wineries are located in the city of Seneca Falls, NY. One of the most popular wineries is Montezuma Winery and Distillery, which boasts a 14,000-square-foot production facility. This attraction has a gift shop, and the variety of wine available is nearly unlimited.

Another great option for travelers is hiking. Seneca Falls is just a short drive away from the Cayuga and Seneca Canal. You can explore the canal via kayak, car, or foot. Another great choice of things to do in Seneca Falls, NY is a visit to Canal Harbour. It’s a great way to spend the day in the area.

You’ll also want to hike the gorge and rim trails. This is an 4.3 mile loop, with hundreds of stone steps. If you want a challenge, you can try the gorge trail, which descends into a river below the falls. If you’re into hiking, it’s possible to bring your dog with you as long as they’re on a leash. Otherwise, you might want to bring a picnic lunch.

Wine enthusiasts will want to check out the Winery Trail, a network of 30 wineries that produce estate wines. You can also stop by the Winery’s cafe for home-cooked meals using local ingredients. The café is located in the former dairy barn and is open from April through December. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you can attend guided dinners with winemakers. While there, you’ll want to plan ahead so you’ll have enough time to see all the different attractions.
