Salem, Oregon, is home to the state’s state capitol building, which is home to the famous Oregon Pioneer statue. While the city is best known for its state capital, there is a lot more to see in Salem. Several public boarding schools are located in the city, including Chemawa Indian School. It also hosts the Oregon School for the Deaf. Music lovers will love the city’s many musical organizations, including the Oregon Symphony Association and Salem Chamber Orchestra. And, of course, the city is home to the oldest mixed community chorus in Oregon.

In the summer, check out the Salem Farmers Market, located at 2330 17th St NE. Here, you’ll find a variety of locally made and crafted goods, including handmade jewelry, art, and jewelry. During winter, check out EZ Orchards Fruit Market, which dates back to 1929, for fresh fruits and vegetables. The market features local sellers as well as artisan and gourmet foods. The EZ Orchards Fruit Market is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and on Sundays, from 11am to 5pm.

If you’re traveling with children, consider visiting Silver Falls State Park, the crown jewel of the state park system. During spring and summer, you can walk along the stunning Trail of Ten Falls. The towering South Falls and the Trail of Ten Falls are also popular attractions. Whether you’re looking for a fun place to relax and unwind, the city is a great destination for families and couples. For something a little more adventurous, visit one of the many beaches in the area.

The city is located in the fertile Willamette Valley. There are more than a dozen wineries in the area. The main attractions of Salem are located west of Interstate 5 and around the Capitol Mall. If you like nature, you’ll love the city’s many parks and outdoor attractions. You’ll also want to check out the Oregon Museum of Natural History. You can learn about the history of Salem, Oregon, and explore its rich history.

If you’re traveling to Salem from a far-off city, consider taking the commuter rail instead of driving. Salem is a pedestrian-friendly city, so you’ll be able to get around easily on foot. Alternatively, you can take the Salem trolley, which runs from April to November. Depending on when you plan your trip, you’ll be able to see all of Salem’s sites in half an hour or less.
