The city of Ashland, Oregon, is located in southern Oregon. It is known for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. There are many parks and outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy. Lithia Park is a 900-acre park that surrounds Ashland Creek to the southwest of the downtown area and features hiking trails, duck ponds, rose gardens, and a rose garden. For those looking to spend the day outdoors, North Mountain Park is a great option, as it features a nature center and themed gardens. For kids, the ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum offers experiments and fun.

The weather in Ashland is mild and pleasant most of the time. While the region experiences a high level of precipitation every year, it rarely gets snow. The city experiences only a few inches of snow each year. The average annual rainfall in Ashland is 20 inches (510 mm), making it an ideal location for tourists. It has a warm, Mediterranean climate with relatively high temperatures in the summer and moderate winters.

The town is close to Portland and San Francisco, so visiting these cities is a snap. While the region is well connected by freeways, residents enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. There are several hiking and biking trails in the nearby area, and residents can ride their bikes on the city’s bikeways. Those who love the outdoors can also take part in the Ashland Independent Film Festival, which is nationally accredited. There are many other activities and events in Ashland throughout the year to celebrate independent films.

Another fun activity for visitors to Ashland is attending a play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The festival, which is one of the oldest non-profit theaters in the country, is spread across three stages. The season runs from February through October. Tickets are usually fairly expensive, but there are many free events in the area. As part of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s season, the downtown district is filled with people who have come to enjoy a show.

Ashland’s four distinct seasons offer plenty of outdoor activities for visitors. In the summer, the climate is hot and dry, while the fall brings vibrant colors to the hills. The rainy winter months are cool and rainy, with snow on the hills until March. This region is a great place to live, work, and play. There is a wide variety of outdoor activities to enjoy. The area is home to many outdoor recreation opportunities, and you will find something for everyone.

Ashland is home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which runs from February until October. Hundreds of theater productions take place here each year. The festival began in 1935 and now runs over six days. It features outdoor shows and a classic outdoor Elizabethan Theatre, which is the oldest outdoor theater in the country. It is open most days, but closed on Mondays. There are a variety of events in the Ashland area for visitors.
