The Steller sea lions are plentiful in the area, and visitors to Florence will be able to see them from the Sea Lion Caves. The restored 19th century lighthouse is a popular tourist attraction. The Historic Old Town district is also a great place to shop. Across the river is the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
