15 Reasons Why you should Stay in Fort Bragg North Carolina

April 12, 2022 | More: Fort Bragg North Carolina| Why Travel to

For those not familiar with Fort Bragg North Carolina, it is the largest military installation in the world, and home to around 54,000 members of the armed forces. However, despite the large size, this military installation is far from a prison. Fort Bragg offers more than just a great job opportunity for military personnel. The military community is dedicated to providing the best quality of life possible for soldiers, and residents of Fort Bragg find the environment to be both welcoming and inspiring.

There are many things to do for military families in Fort Bragg, including hiking, camping, and a visit to the beaches and mountains. Those with children will love the annual Field Artillery training, and teachers will appreciate the excuse to excuse absences. But be sure not to get too close to the firing ranges, as Marines are prone to catch civilians speeding on Plank Road. And if you do decide to have a family picnic, make sure to check the weather before heading to the range, or you may be caught by Marines!

The United States Army has many reasons to be in Fort Bragg, and the area around it is no exception. Home to more than 54,000 active duty personnel, the military base is a hub for training and education for the nation’s troops. While many people choose to stay on the base, Fort Bragg also has plenty of dining, shopping, and lodging options for civilians. The diverse community of civilians, military, and federal employees makes Fort Bragg an appealing place to live, work, or play.

The Army at Fort Bragg supports the Special Forces Command, the 3rd Special Forces Group, and the Delta Force. Additionally, the Joint Special Operations Command has a branch at Fort Bragg called the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center. The community of military personnel is supportive and committed to operational readiness. For this reason, Fort Bragg has many housing options. So, when you are looking to rent a home or apartment, it is important to consider what your needs are.

During World War II, the 82nd Airborne Division was permanently stationed at Fort Bragg, and in July 1951, the XVIII Airborne Corps was reactivated at Fort-Bragg. The 10th Special Forces Group and Psychological Warfare Center were also created at Fort Bragg. The military at Fort Bragg is an important part of our nation’s defense. If you are planning to visit Fort Bragg, you should know the statistics about the population.

The union claims that the Employer made no scientifically sound argument for its proposal to ban smoking on Fort Bragg. The Federal Labor Relations Authority has determined that health concerns are not sufficient to justify a total smoking ban. Therefore, the Union contends without support that the Surgeon General’s Report is not scientifically accurate. While there is a legitimate debate surrounding whether the Surgeon General’s report is correct, the addiction to tobacco is a handicapping condition.
