Historic masonry pentagonal bastion fort in Mobile Bay, Alabama. Named for Revolutionary War hero Daniel Morgan, Fort Monet was built on the site of Fort Bowyer, an earthen stockade type fortification that played an important role in the final land battles of the War of 1812.
