Nearby, the Mound House sits on an ancient Calusa Indian shell mound and features archeological exhibits. You can also enjoy the Times Square, an old-fashioned downtown area with shops, restaurants, and other activities.

The waterfront Times Square is a pedestrian-friendly shopping and dining district. Here, you can find the best seafood restaurants in the area, little surf shops, and colorful art galleries. There’s also a pier that is more than five hundred feet long, which attracts sea gulls and dolphins to the city.
