This city has a population of approximately 8,000 people. In the past, the town was a farming community, but today, it is one of the largest and most diverse in the state. Here’s a look at some of the city’s best attractions. Getting Around

Located 45 miles west of Denver, Georgetown is a picturesque time capsule town. More than two hundred Victorian-era buildings still stand in this small community. As one of the last boom towns in the American West, Georgetown has been meticulously restored and is a great retreat from modern life. You can also go horseback riding, visit a museum, or take a relaxing stroll through the downtown area. There are many places to eat in the historic district of the town, including several restaurants.

During the summer, you can take a rafting trip down Clear Creek River. The river’s rapids are moderate, but you can choose a difficult or easy trip. In the winter, Georgetown becomes a holiday tradition, with a Christmas Market, horse-drawn carriage rides, and carolers. You can even see wildlife and enjoy a hike on Mount Sopris. Whether you choose to explore the surrounding mountains, or enjoy the scenic vistas, you’ll find a perfect getaway in this charming mountain town.

The town has a charming downtown and a small number of restaurants. Its main street is lined with Victorian-era buildings, boutiques, and unique shops. The Georgetown Loop Railroad provides transportation to and from the mountain town and has been in operation since the 19th century. It is also home to one of the oldest art co-ops in the state, and a vintage gallery. This place is a great choice for shopping and sightseeing.

If you’re a nature lover, you’ll find no shortage of outdoor activities in Georgetown, Colorado. The town’s mountain landscapes are spectacular and inspire the creativity of local artists, who are encouraged to display their work in the city’s many galleries. A co-op in town with over 30 artists, this gallery is worth checking out in person or online. Grizzly Creek Gallery specializes in sculptures and functional pieces for the home.

While visiting Georgetown, make sure to spend some time in the town’s many antique shops. While you’re here, be sure to check out the town’s historic train station. Its buildings are in excellent shape and provide an interesting backdrop for photos and souvenirs. For those who love to eat, the Happy Cooker is a great place to stop for breakfast.
