15 Reasons Why you should Stay in Kanab Utah

May 3, 2022 | More: Kanab Utah| Why Travel to

If you want to get away from it all and enjoy nature at its best, consider a trip to Kanab, Utah. The town is located near the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, as well as Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. You can also check out the nearby Sand Caves. Five miles north of Kanab, you can check out the Moqui Sand Caves, where you can view dinosaur prints. The caves were once carved by glass and cast iron mold makers.

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is a great place to visit if you have a pet. Located on over three thousand acres, the sanctuary is a safe home for homeless dogs and cats. Visitors can even take a tour of the sanctuary. This is an ideal morning or afternoon activity. You can even purchase your dog a special pet treat for the holiday. While you’re in Kanab, be sure to check out the restaurants and dining options.

Kanab, UT is a great place to visit if you’re in the area for some adventure. Near the Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks, Kanab is an excellent place to make a stopover. Alternatively, you can head to Capitol Reef National Park, which is just three hours and fifteen minutes away. This makes Kanab a great stopover destination for a road trip.

There are many places to explore in and around Kanab, but unless you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, you may want to consider a trip to Little Hollywood land. This movie-themed town is close to many activities and attractions. And if you want to enjoy your stay in the comfort of a luxurious hotel, you’ll find a 5-star resort in Kanab called Amangiri.

If you’re looking to take your camping to the next level, Kanab has several accommodations to offer. You can stay in a hotel, cabin, or tent in one of the many campgrounds. You can even take a hot shower right on the site! The campgrounds are very affordable, so you can save money while enjoying the area. The hotels are also great, and there’s no shortage of places to eat.

If you’re looking for something a little more strenuous, check out the Mansard Trail. This is an eight-mile hike that will require a bit of sweat and water. The trail has a few challenging scrambling sections, so you might want to bring along a backpack and a few extra water bottles. The hike will take you to the climax of the Kodachrome Basin, an enormous alcove where rock art was created hundreds of years ago. And there are not many tourists at this location.

After hiking in Zion National Park, take your family to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. The dunes are a popular sandboarding destination, so it’s worth checking off your natural bucket list. Just be sure to get a permit for the hike. Permits are only issued twenty times a day. You can either purchase one ahead of time or get one at the BLM office in Kanab. There are also plenty of hiking trails to enjoy, so don’t hesitate to get outdoors!
