Murrells Inlet is a census-designated place (CDP) in Georgetown County, South Carolina. As of the 2010 census, the population was 7,547. It is located approximately 13 miles south of Myrtle Beach and 21 miles north of Georgetown. If you’re interested in living in Murrells Inlet, there are many things to do in the area. Marsh Walk: You’ll find a wooden boardwalk that winds its way along the coast of the inlet. There are numerous open-air cafes along the path, and you can enjoy the view while listening to live music. This is a must-see for any visitor to Murrells Inlet. A visit to the MarshWalk is the best way to experience Murrells Inlet’s waterfront dining scene.

Jolly Rogers Fishing Adventures: If you’re an adventure seeker, you’ll love this Murrells Inlet attraction. Not only can you experience fishing, but you can also go kayaking or paddle boarding. You can even hire a guide to help you out with the fishing, as guides are eager to assist you. Whether you’re an avid fisher or a first-timer to the sport, there’s no shortage of activities to make your trip worthwhile.

Sea Memorial at Morse Park Landing: If you’re looking for something unique and interesting, try the Sea Memorial at Morse Park Landing, which dates back to the 1700s. It’s the oldest restaurant in Murrells Inlet, and its menu is full of fresh seafood. There are live bands every night and the atmosphere is fun and friendly. If you’re looking for a great meal, consider ordering from Hot Fish Club.

Garden City: This historic area features five miles of sandy beaches, lined with colorful coastal homes and piled with shells. A stroll through the pier in Garden City will bring you to the pier, which boasts an arcade and local shops. Alternatively, you can spend a day strolling the waterfront or catching some sunrays. While you’re there, consider grabbing lunch at one of the restaurants nearby.

Pirates: The Murrells Inlet area was once the pirate Blackbeard’s hideout. The town’s name derives from a local Captain, John Murrell, who purchased 2000 acres to grow indigo as a cash drop. Located in the heart of the South Carolina coastal plain, Murrells Inlet is also known as the seafood capital of the region. There’s a variety of water sports in Murrells Inlet, including the popular MarshWalk.

The Murrells Inlet community is the oldest waterfront district on the Grand Strand. The area spans between the Waccamaw River and the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can stroll the creek-front restaurants, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and enjoy the historic waterfront. The area was first settled by English colonist John Morrall in 1731. He used the inlet for shipments to Britain and the Northern Colonies.
