Roswell has a lot to offer visitors looking to make the most of their stay.

The city has a rich history. A 1947 UFO crash made Roswell world famous, and now it boasts quirky museums, historic sites, and magnificent state parks. Its buzzing downtown and wineries make it the perfect destination for people looking for adventure. To explore the history of the town, you can visit the Roswell Museum and Art Center, which was founded in 1935. It houses a collection of art pieces as well as exhibits on local history.

There are several hotels in Roswell that are perfect for vacationers. The Hampton Inn & Suites is an excellent choice because it is conveniently located near restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. This hotel also has an indoor pool. The TownePlace Suites by Marriott offers spacious rooms, separate living areas, and full kitchens. The hotel is also near the Roswell Museum and Art Center. While in town, don’t miss the chance to visit the Bottomless Lakes State Park, where you can photograph 350 species of migratory birds.

To learn about the history of Roswell, you can take a walking tour. The Historical Society For Southeast New Mexico offers a free brochure that takes you through the town’s rich history. During the free walking tour, you’ll see many of the city’s oldest homes. They feature Tudor, Queen Anne, and Spanish Pueblo Revival architecture. It also houses the Gothic revival First Presbyterian Church. You can also visit the Chaves County Courthouse, which opened in 1911. It features a green tiled dome and massive entry doors. The New Mexico Military Institute, meanwhile, was built in the Military Gothic style.

The Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art is a great place to see works of art created by the artists in the town. Founded in 1935, the Anderson Museum offers a place for artists to create work while living in the town. The museum has 12 galleries, including a planetarium and Patricia Lubben Bassett Art Education Center. The museum is one of the best museums in Southeastern New Mexico. It also offers workshops and lectures about art and the local history.

The Pecos River Wildlife Refuge is a great place to watch migratory birds and other animals that live in the area. Those looking to learn more about wildlife will find a wealth of information about the area and its ecosystem. The Pecos River runs through the town, making it easy to walk or bike along the river. If you’re not into biking or walking, you can take a bike ride on the trail along the Spring River.
