15 Reasons Why you should Stay in Thermopolis Wyoming

July 29, 2022 | More: Why Travel to

If you’re a history buff or a geology nerd, you’ll love visiting Thermopolis, Wyoming. This area has many different museums, featuring local history and natural history. There are also plenty of activities to keep your family entertained, including rafting and swimming. Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, there’s something for everyone in Thermopolis. Here are a few tips for your next trip to Thermopolis.

Most accommodations in Thermopolis have a great location, close to several attractions. You can dine in six different restaurants in two miles. The Thermopolis Cafe is a great place to grab a meal, and the One-Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company serves a delicious slow-smoked BBQ. Nature’s Corner offers wholesome meals in an earthen setting. If you plan on spending your time in Thermopolis for business purposes, you can rent a conference room at the Best Western Plus Plaza Hotel.

If you’re traveling with children, check out the Wyoming Dinosaur Museum. You can learn more about the ancient creatures through a Paleo Prep tour. You can also get a sneak peek at fossils in a lab. In addition to dinosaur museums, Thermopolis also offers hotels, RV parks, cabins, and other lodging options. Regardless of whether you’re looking for a high-end hotel or a more rustic cabin, there’s something to suit your budget.

The natural hot springs in Thermopolis are one of the most popular attractions. The city’s beautiful surroundings make for a relaxing getaway. There are many different places to soak in the natural waters of Thermopolis. One of the most popular hot springs is in the city’s Hot Springs State Park, where you can relax in a large free hot spring. Another popular attraction is the beautiful Rainbow Terrace waterfalls.

Legend Rock is another popular stop in Thermopolis. This pre-Columbian site features over 300 petroglyphs. The site is located about 30 miles outside of the town. To access Legend Rock, you must have a key. The chamber of commerce in Thermopolis can provide this key. This will allow you to visit the site and take photos. Just remember not to touch the petroglyphs!

You can also enjoy the Wind River Canyon while driving through Thermopolis. Located south of the city, Wind River Canyon is home to beautiful scenery and world-class fishing and hunting. Whether you are looking for a fishing charter or a hunting excursion, you’ll be sure to find it in this area. And if you want to experience the natural beauty of Wyoming, you can try your hand at fly fishing, or try your hand at the local buffalo ranch.

Another option for bathing in Thermopolis is the Public Bath House, which has modest pools, but has the same mineral-rich water as other hot springs. If you’re a budget traveler, you should definitely consider the Public Bath House. Guests can soak for 20 minutes a day, and the water is just as good as at other hot springs. If you have a budget, you might want to consider staying in a more affordable hotel.
