Waterville, Maine is a coastal city located in Kennebec County, Maine. It is home to Colby College and Thomas College, and had a population of 15,722 in 2010. As of 2010, the estimated population of the city is 16,558. It is the home of two colleges, Thomas College and the University of Southern Maine. In 2010, Waterville had a median household income of $79,500. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total area of 1.9 square miles.

Attractions in Waterville include the Waterville Opera House, which is a historic building that hosts many live performances, the Maine State Museum, and the Waterville Historical Society Museum. Visitors can also enjoy the 350-acre Lake Saint George State Park, which has swimming and camping areas. The town also is home to the Maine International Film Festival. There are numerous museums in Waterville, including the Colby College Museum of Art and the Thomas College Campus.

The downtown area of Waterville has undergone many changes over the years. The Elm Plaza shopping center has recently undergone a makeover, and there are new stores opening in WalMart and Inland Hospital. Additionally, the city has a Daystar rebroadcaster WFYW-LP, and a Fox affiliate called WPFO. These developments have paved the way for suburban development in Waterville, whereas the historic downtown area of Waterville has experienced a decline.

The Hampton Inn by Hilton in Waterville, Maine is a four-mile walk from downtown Waterville. The hotel has three rooms, and is free to visitors. It is also a distributor of Popeye’s Supplements, and is part of Colby College. The Colby College Museum of Art has nearly 8,000 works of art. In addition to being located on the college campus, the Waterville Marriott is also close to Unity College, Thomas School, and Unity University.

The Hampton Inn Waterville is a comfortable hotel located 20 minutes north of Augusta. The town is near Old Fort Western, Colby College Art Museum, Mainly Breed Restaurant, and Amici’s Cucina. The historic area also contains antique shops and a large number of restaurants. The Hampton Inn Waterville offers free parking. It is located just off Interstate 95, making it an ideal place to stay while traveling. A number of major attractions are nearby, including the Colby College Museum of Art and the State Museum of Maine.

The population of the city of Waterville is about 3,000. A census-determined poverty rate is 17.2% for males and 10.9% for women. The per capita income in Waterville is $16,430. It is home to a hospital and three major colleges. The town’s population is mostly white, with few black residents. The vacancy in the downtown area is caused by several industrial facilities. The Elm Plaza shopping center has recently been renovated to make it more attractive to tourists.
