In northeast Georgia, the town of Alpine Helen is home to vineyards and Bavarian buildings. You can hike the Chattahoochee National Forest trails to Raven Cliff and Anna Ruby waterfalls or just relax at the lake and campsites at Unicoi State Park. For trout fishing, head to Dukes Creek State Park or Smithgall Woods State Park. If you’re interested in history, check out Hardman Farm State Historic Site, which features a historic homestead built in 1870 and a burial site of the Nacoochee Indians.
