Chestertown is a city in Kent County, Maryland, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 5,252. It is the county seat of Kent County. This is the second largest town in Maryland and the only city in the state of Delaware. It is a popular destination for residents of both the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., metropolitan areas. Its location makes it an excellent place to raise a family. Here are some things to do in Chestertown.

For history buffs, there are many places to eat in Chestertown. The Panther Mountain Pub is a popular place to eat fried food and drink a cold beer. You can also visit the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor, which has delicious ice cream and a gift shop. For those who don’t like to buy souvenirs, there are a variety of places to shop for t-shirts and other Chestertown items.

To learn more about the history of Chestertown, head to the downtown area. Visitors can check out the Washington College campus, which features a beautiful campus. For a great lunch, stop by the Chestertown Farmers’ Market on Park Row. Open every Saturday from April to December, the market features fresh produce, bread, and homemade products. The city is also home to a variety of museums. A thriving art scene and a vibrant downtown community make the area a great destination for a visit.

If you have time, visit the historic house at 400 High Street. The home was built in 1903, but has been renovated and remains in use as a hotel/restaurant. It is popular with locals, as the hotel offers 50 cent oysters during happy hour. The Imperial Hotel is also adjacent to the Garfield Center for Arts, a restored art deco theater. The Garfield Center for Arts is an excellent place to check out the local art scene.

The Kitchen at the Imperial: While the town is not famous for fine dining, it is home to a fine restaurant, The Kitchen at the Imperial. The restaurant has an excellent reputation for serving French and European cuisine and features a full-service bar. The Kitchen at the Imperial has a variety of dining options and a casual, intimate atmosphere. If you enjoy eating seafood, make sure to stop by the local seafood market to sample some fresh crab.
