April 13, 2022 | More: Fort Myers Beach Florida| Tourist Attractions

The city of Fort Myers Beach in southwest Florida is located on Estero Island and offers a long, sandy beach with views of the Gulf of Mexico. The Ostego Bay Marine Science Center showcases marine life. To the east of Fort Myers Beach is the Matanzas Pass Preserve nature sanctuary. There are also archaeological exhibits and the Mound House, built on an ancient Calusa Indian shell mound. The area is also home to several stores and restaurants.

For families and those who are looking for a unique experience, the Fort Myers Museum has over 60 interactive exhibits, including hands-on exhibits where visitors can feed the animals. The museum also offers a children’s section, complete with an interactive kids area.

Those visiting Fort Myers are bound to be attracted to the beach. The Fort Myers beaches are considered to be among the best in the world. Alternatively, families can opt to spend a day on a smaller island nearby. For instance, little Hickory Island Park is a hidden gem, located near Lover’s Key State Park. This beach offers the perfect getaway from the bustle of Fort Myers and Bonita Beach.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a family vacation, you’ll love Fort Myers Beach. The area is home to a number of attractions, from spectacular vistas and beautiful beaches to power-packed adventures and fun activities. Whatever your interests, Fort Myers is the perfect place to unwind with your family. The city has something for everyone! The city’s friendly atmosphere is perfect for children of all ages.

You’ll also want to consider the time of year you visit the city. Fort Myers Beach Florida experiences the warmest weather during the spring and fall seasons, while summer is a bit chilly.
