If you have never visited this area, you must plan your vacation to Grand Lake right away. The town is located in the county of Grand, Colorado. According to the United States Census, its population was 410 as of the 2020 census. It is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, just outside of Colorado Springs. There are a number of interesting things to do in Grand Lake. Among them are the Grand Lake Historical Museum, Lakeside Park, and the Grand Lake Golf Course.

The town of Grand Lake is a beautiful, quaint place to spend your vacation. The town is situated between Rocky Mountain National Park and the Grand Lake. While you’re visiting Grand Lake, don’t forget to check out the Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s home to Colorado’s largest natural alpine lake. If you’re lucky enough to visit the park, you’ll see the area from the water’s shores.

Art lovers will find many artistic venues in Grand Lake. The Kauffman House Museum, built in 1892, has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1974. During the summer, Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater holds many productions, which feature Broadway favorites.

Visitors will also find an abundance of winter sports in Grand Lake. In the winter, the Arapaho National Recreation Area is adjacent to the town. There, you can rent cross-country skis, snowshoes, and sleds, or take a winter sleigh ride on the frozen Grand Lake. While you’re in Grand Lake, don’t miss a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park. The park is home to many hiking trails, and you can even drive along the scenic Trail Ridge Road.

The town of Grand Lake has a rich history and is home to the world’s highest yacht club. It is the state’s largest natural body of water. The mountains surrounding Grand Lake include Mount Baldy, a 12,007-foot peak, and the Never Summer Range. Whether you plan to ski or hike in the mountains, Grand Lake will surely make your trip a memorable one. It is definitely a town worth visiting.

Another place you can visit in Grand Lake is the historic Holzwarth Ranch, which is also known as Never Summer Ranch. It’s about 7 miles from the Grand Lake Entrance and west of Rocky Mountain National Park. The hike to the historic site takes about one and a half miles round trip. The site’s volunteer guides can help you connect with the Holzwarth family’s life. You’ll learn how they migrated from Germany and settled on their original homestead. In this town, you can also visit several museums, a train station, and a Greyhound bus stop.
