December 10, 2021 | More: Moab Utah| Tourist Attractions

Located in southern Utah, Moab is a gateway to the National Parks of Arches, Canyonlands, and the Grand Canyon. The Green and Colorado Rivers have carved mesas and buttes here. Dinosaur tracks can be found at Copper Ridge and Bull Canyon Overlook. The Museum of Morab is a great place to see dinosaur bones and archeological artifacts. The city has many museums to visit as well.

If you want to get off the beaten path and check out some national parks, you can also visit the beautiful Arches National Park, which is only 25 miles south of Moab. This is the base camp for numerous outdoor activities and is a must-see while in the area. During your visit, make sure you take time to see the stunning natural landscape and leave it better than you found it. You’ll be happy you did.

When to Visit: Moab hosts more than 3 million visitors each year, making it a popular tourist destination. The trails are covered in snow and ice during the winter, and the crowds are less during the dog days of summer. However, if you’re planning a vacation in Moab, you’ll need to book a hotel ahead of time. There are plenty of other ways to enjoy Moab year-round, and you can check out the town’s calendar of events. The Easter Jeep Safari, which takes place during the first weekend in April, can be a big draw as hotels fill up fast.

While visiting Moab, be sure to check out Red Cliff’s Museum, which retells the stories of the West. If you’d prefer to go off the beaten track, you can check out Moab’s downtown area. Not only is downtown a great place to eat, but there’s also a vibrant nightlife scene, art galleries, and a wonderful shopping district. The city is full of unique activities and fun!

There are many outdoor activities in the Moab area. You can raft the Colorado River or participate in a helicopter tour. Other attractions include hiking, mountain biking, and helicopter tours. For outdoor enthusiasts, the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands is a must-see. The park is located just west of the town. If you’re looking for something a little more adventurous, try climbing the top of Wilson Arch and then rappeling down to the desert floor.

In addition to the canyon, you can check out the Dead Horse Point State Park, which is Moab’s version of the Grand Canyon. From this point, you can see the La Sal Mountains, the Colorado River, and the Island in the Sky District. The area is also known for its beautiful rock formations and has some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world. If you want to see the famous scenery in the area, Moab is a great place to visit.
