15 Tourist Attractions in Orlando

June 1, 2022 | More: Orlando| Tourist Attractions

If you love to experience the thrill of flying, you’ll want to visit the Tesla Coil in Orlando. The device, which is located near Epcot Center, produces powerful forces that are capable of producing 155-mph hurricane winds, lightning bolts, and even a fighter jet’s flight. Visitors can also experience a 5.3-magnitude earthquake while hanging out at the Tesla Coil cafe. The attraction is just one of the many things to do in Orlando.

For the natural history lover, there’s a 50-acre botanical paradise in the heart of the city. The Leu family donated this property to the city in 1961. You can tour the gardens and scan QR codes to learn more about the plants and collections. The gardens are open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM. In addition, they are close to the Orlando Museum of Art. A visit to this museum will make you appreciate the flora and fauna that surround this region.

In addition to theme parks, the city offers numerous outdoor adventures and natural attractions. There is plenty of sunshine throughout the year and many golf courses and sports spectacles. If you want a more relaxed environment, try Legoland. Its 50 rides include the world’s largest Lego store. During the warmer months, you can take a cruise on the lake or board a water taxi. Parking in Orlando is usually free, so it is well worth the time to do some shopping.

Manatees are another popular attraction in Orlando. Manatees come to the river from the gulf during cold months between November and March. Since the manatees need a safe environment to swim, there are strict guidelines for viewing them. You must not feed or chase them. Tours include snorkeling equipment and wetsuits. They are frequently rated as the best nature-themed things to do in Orlando. So whether you’re a water baby or a curious adult, there’s plenty to do in the city.

Another must-see in Orlando is the Kennedy Space Center. The Space Center is just under an hour’s drive from Orlando and features a space shuttle simulator and a live astronaut training theater. Guided tours are available to enhance your experience and give you an inside look at what goes on at the center. Whether you’re a space geek or just want to learn more about the world’s space program, the Kennedy Space Center is a must-visit attraction in Orlando.

The city’s water park has something for everyone. You can also catch an Orlando Magic game at the Amway Center. This professional basketball team plays from October through April. While you’re there, you can also watch a match live online. And if you’re in the mood for some sports, you can watch the NBA playoffs at the Orlando Arena. Just be sure to bring along your camera, because you’ll never know when an Orlando Magic game will be televised.
