If you’re looking for fun things to do in Providence, check out the Providence Children’s Museum. The museum is the only one of its kind in the state, and it’s dedicated to stimulating active play by providing hands-on exhibits, play-based programs, and other activities. Open to kids from ages one to eleven, it provides an educational environment in which children can discover their interests and get active. Children will be amazed by the variety of art and science exhibits, as well as the interactive programs and activities.

The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium, located in Roger Williams Park, is another must-see when visiting Providence. This museum has been around for over a century and is known for displaying displays on Oceania, Apollo 11, local wildlife, and earthquakes. The museum is part of Benefit Street’s Mile of History, which features restored Colonial homes and museums. Once you’ve finished your museum visit, you’ll be inspired to explore Providence’s fascinating history.

While you’re in the area, make sure to check out Prospect Terrace Park, the city’s most beautiful park. Its city skyline provides a breathtaking backdrop for any photo. Or, take a ghost tour for some spooky fun. There’s something for everyone in Providence, and you can’t go wrong with a visit to the city. And if you’re a history buff, Providence’s RISD Museum is the perfect place to explore the city’s past.

If you’re looking for something more unusual, try visiting Swan Point Cemetery. This graveyard honors both life and death. On the crest of downtown, you can find the state capitol. The building is built of white neoclassical marble and features a golden statue known as The Independent Man. You can also visit Lincoln Woods State Park, located north of Providence. The state capitol is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city.

The city has a large number of restaurants, and many of them are inexpensive. In fact, you can find many cheap restaurants in Providence that offer delicious food. While you’re here, don’t miss the Swan Point Cemetery, where H.P. Lovecraft was buried. You’ll be sure to have a good time. If you love spooky stories, don’t forget to visit the Providence Public Library and check out the art museum.

The State House is another great place to spend an afternoon. Its stately Victorian state house is a National Historic Landmark. Built by textile magnate Henry Lippitt, it was designed for Rhode Island’s governor, who lived here until 1896. Inside, the interior features high Victorian decoration, and you can explore its many rooms with a self-guided tour or a guided tour every hour. You can also visit the Providence Athenaeum, which is a historic Victorian membership library that is free to the public. The building features a replica of the Liberty Bell from Philadelphia.

Whether you are looking for an arts center, museum, or place to catch a show, there is something for everyone in Providence. There are plenty of great options for entertainment in Providence, including the famous Providence Athenaeum, a double-height theater that hosts a variety of shows. Whether it’s classical music or modern folk music, you’ll find something to enjoy in the city’s cultural scene. And while you’re here, don’t miss the annual WaterFire! This event is held on the waterfront and involves over eighty braziers set in the middle of the water.
