Farmington, Connecticut, is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. It is located in the central part of the state, in the Farmington Valley. As of the 2020 census, the population was 26,712. The town’s total area is 1.1 square miles, which makes it one of the larger towns in the state. The population was 25,411 at the 2010 census. The town is located in the Farmington Valley area of central Connecticut.

There are plenty of things to do in Farmington, CT. The city’s oldest house is the Stanley-Whitman House, built in 1720. The home features a large front porch, leaded windows, and a large overhanging upper floor. You can also visit the historic New England Museum of Art, a local museum, or even a historic cemetery. The Stanley-Whitman House is one of the oldest houses in Farmington, dating back to 1720. The Hill-Stead Museum is the oldest building in town, and is located in a palatial Colonial Revival house. It was built for industrialist Alfred Atmore Pope in 1720, and was designed by McKim, Read & White and Theodate Pope Riddge. This museum has 19 rooms that are open to the public, and has a huge collection of valuable decorative arts, including Impressionism.
